So, last weekend I was at Put-In-Bay for a fall camping trip and had the great fortune to catch the Aurora Borealis. I couldn't see them well from the campground so I went down to the sea wall in the middle of the island and started snapping photos around 9:40pm. It was really cool because all the local islanders were stopping by, snapping photos and talking to their friends/relatives on cellphones. I got some really good photos between the passing headlights for over an hour and enjoyed sharing some of the pics I had taken with them. At 11 o'clock, I was about ready to pack it in when the Aurora kicked into high gear. It was amazing! I could see ripples of color and both red and green reflecting off of the water with just the naked eye. Another memorable night at The Bay! I snapped over 200 photos that night but, these are the best ones. Tech details below for my fellow star nerds.
